Welcome to Pennington Health, a dedicated local healthcare provider across Cornwall & Devon, specialising in Physiotherapy and Occupational Health.

Founded by Michael Pennington, a Specialist Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist and Occupational Health & Ergonomics Advisor, our mission is to deliver personalised, high-quality care to help individuals and organisations achieve better physical health and well-being.

Meet the founder:

With two decades of experience in Physiotherapy and Occupational Health, Michael brings a depth of clinical expertise shaped across both public and private sectors. After graduating from Keele University in 2006 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, he began his career in a specialist Orthopaedic centre before moving into the NHS. In 2017, he expanded into private practice, allowing him to support a wider range of patients and organisations.

Over the years, Michael has developed a strong focus on musculoskeletal (MSK) health, helping individuals recover from injury, manage pain, and improve their overall physical wellbeing. His experience spans everyday MSK conditions through to complex rehabilitation needs.

Michael has also provided Physiotherapy services for sporting clubs and charitable organisations, including working as part of the medical team on two Dallaglio Cycle Slams for Dallaglio RugbyWorks, touring across continental Europe in 2022 and 2024.

Alongside his clinical work, Michael is a Technical Member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Occupational Health and Ergonomics (ACPOHE). He delivers workplace assessments and detailed ergonomic reports for employers across a range of industries. He is also a qualified acupuncturist and a registered member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP).
